Herring, Ze'ev
(1910-88). Born in Poland. General Secretary of Poalei Zion in Galicia from 1935. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1940 and joined Kibbutz Ramat David. Volunteered for the British Army. After the war was the secretary of the Diaspora Center (1946-47). From 1954 to 1969 was a member of the coordinating committee of the Histadrut and chairman of the department for international relations in the Histadrut. Was a member of the Seventh Knesset.
